Beginning Yoga

Cheryl Wood's relaxing Level 1 class is ninety minutes of rejuvenating yoga poses utilizing breath and body/mind awareness.. A perfect way to center your week.

Cheryl's class focuses on gentle stretching postures that combine sitting, standing, floor sequences, breath awareness and relaxation. If you are more advanced, this class will provide a series of restorative asanas aimed at soothing your spirit and relaxing your mind and body. All levels are welcome to attend.

Cheryl received her yoga training at Heartwood Institute under the invaluable instruction and discipline of Gayna Uransky.

She has recently completed an intensive Yoga Therapy Training at the Ananda Seva Mission in Santa Rosa. She is certified with 500 Hours Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with an emphasis in Yoga Therapy and is offering private therapeutic yoga sessions for a variety of common conditions such as stress, cancer, diabetes, asthma, heart disease, stroke, obesity, pain management and more. Yoga therapy is also very beneficial for managing and healing a variety of psychological conditions such as depression, anxiety, grief, and bi-polar disorder.
